Volunteering for teens in Candeleda Spain
El Mirlo Blanco Hotel – Candeleda
Candeleda can be found in the province of Ávila, west of Madrid. It’s situated at the foot of the Almanzor peak which is the highest mountain in central Spain and belongs to the Sierra de Gredos range. The situation of the village allows slightly cooler temperatures in summer and milder temperatures in the winter. In an area rich in folklore, gastronomy and natural beauty, this venue is superb if you enjoy gazing out over mountains or lakes. Offering plenty of spacious and beautiful surroundings the venue has self-contained bungalows looking onto a park area with an outdoor pool open June – September.
The Accommodation
The 23 bungalows are modern, clean and Spanish-style living quarters which are suitably equipped. There is a TV in every room but you’ll be so engaged in other activities you won’t even notice it’s there! There is very limited internet access so we suggest that you catch up on all your emails before you come. The restaurant is well equipped for large groups and serves local produce. The venue also has special arrangements for people with disabilities.
