Volunteer Teaching English

Unique, fun and rewarding experience for volunteers from all around the world.

Pueblo Ingles is an amazing volunteer teaching English program in Europe for all native English-speakers who want to spend a week abroad enjoying culture, conversation, and connecting with people. You will have the chance to get to know a group of diverse individuals from all walks of life and to form long-lasting friendships.

volunteers for teaching English can enjoy a free week at one of our English-speaking villages. The objective of this volunteering is to help our students improve their communication skills in English through intense One to One sessions and group activities where English is the protagonist.

Our volunteers do not have to teach English in a traditional format, they just have to bring a positive attitude, a passion for conversation and an interest in learning about people from different countries and cultures. A fun and rewarding experience is offered in exchange for your English conversation.

Each program involves between 15 to 25 students and similar number of volunteers. There is nearly always a diverse mix of ages, gender and professions. Our volunteers are transported to their course venues from hub cities like Madrid, Munich and Frankfurt, so it’s a great chance to combine an interesting city-visit with rural and cultural elements.

Why Past Participants Love us?

Sophia Ramkissoon
Mom of teen volunteer

“I wanted to say how happy I was that my girls came back safe and sound. They had such a wonderful time at your camp. I want to say a very BIG THANKS  to all your staff and councillors  – especially Omar , Jess and the chefs that make sure they had veggie options and took care of Meera when she was very sick. I really do appreciate it. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.”

Alison GillQuigley
Mom of teen volunteer

“What you all do there is truly amazing. From the moment she landed in Madrid to the day you returned her to the airport in Madrid she was looked after and cared for in each and every way. The way you all organise everything and synchronize it all is truly amazing.

I would especially like to thank you for the care you gave our daughter while she was ill for that couple of days, the way you all checked in on her and kept her spirits up is so much appreciated. Thank you.”

David Ryan
Anglo volunteer from USA

“A very enjoyable week at a small inn in the province of Segovia. While our group was small, the conversations kept flowing the entire week. Due to the small group we were able to take several excursions off site and see a couple of local villages. These programs are always a joy to attend and provide thoughtful  conversations with our Spanish partners.”

Roger Womack
Anglo volunteer from UK

“What an amazing experience I have just had with Pueblo Inglés.  Before I set out I was not sure what it was going to be like, but it has exceeded my expectations by a long way.  Well organised, proactive and lots of fun.   Not to mention the lovely food, the amazing people that I met (both Spanish and English) and a lovely setting.”

Donald Sockol
Anglo volunteer from USA

“My long days at Pueblo Ingles were made easy by an enjoyable variety of activities. They were enriched by getting to really experience a connection to interesting, motivated, and exuberant Spanish people. And the native-English speakers. I cannot speak highly enough of the Pueblo Ingles experience in all its aspects. Not least, many many participants, myself included, commented, “I learned so much about myself.””

Thomas Glenn
Anglo volunteer from USA

” The staff have become friends and provide a “coming home” kind of feeling whenever I return.  The days can be intense but filled with opportunities to learn from intelligent, committed people.  Pueblo Ingles is among the best volunteer opportunities I’ve ever encountered and hope to return again in the future.”

Tommy Thompson
Anglo volunteer from South Africa

“Life is about the things your create with people you meet. I love traveling, but more than just seeing fantastic scenery, I love to meet people from different cultures, ages, and countries. This is about meeting great people and building new relationships. An unforgetable human experience!.”

Mary Hird

“I discovered Pueblo Inglés via a documentary on BBC Television. I did my first programme that year and still take part when I can. It  has to be experienced to appreciate. You give but you also receive, and if you like new experiences this is the experience for you!”

Dan Myles
Anglo volunteer from Canada

“Pueblo Inglés offers a variety of cultures from various countries around the globe brought together into one beautiful place in Spain with a common goal, conversational English. I came out of it  enriched and with a deeper connection of all these cultures.”

Thomas Glenn
Anglo volunteer from USA

“Pueblo Ingles is among the best volunteer opportunities I’ve ever encountered and hope to return again in the future. In 2017 I was able to volunteer on three different programs on two trips to Spain. In 2018 I walked the Portuguese Way Camino with people I’d met at Pueblo Ingles.”

Neil Kilgour
Anglo volunteer from Wales

“I volunteered at Pueblo Inglés and the week was one of the most enjoyable and stimulating of my life! Pueblo Inglés has created a great formula of mixing english learning for the Spanish students with fun activities for both students and us. I met many new  life-long friends. I really recommend this unique experience.”

Annabelle Marsden

“It’s crazy to think just how much this two-week summer camp has impacted my life, but it truly has! After crying on the plane journey home after making so many new friends and memories I knew immediately that I wanted to sign up for the following year. The calendar could not be published quick enough!.”

Meena Benjamin
Anglo volunteer from Australia

“After walking El Camino de Santiago, this was the perfect way to end our time in Spain. I really enjoyed the week in La Alberca. I met so many lovely people, both Spanish participants and volunteers alike. Very well organised and friendly team support. Life is for living and I believe to really live you have to give.”

Nai Sharrock
Anglo volunteer from USA

“This was my first Pueblo Inglés volunteering experience and it exceeded my expectations. I was nervous because it was my first time in Spain and Europe. I am so grateful for the experience. I now have friends in Valencia to visit so that we can eat, dance and SHOP as we said we would! Thanks Pueblo Inglés!.”

Charmaine Moraes
Anglo volunteer from India

“It is a programme that impacts every individual at some level. No person leaves the programme without being energized and confident to bring about changes in one’s life and enrich humanity. Each person that I met fascinated me and the conversations were stimulating. I cherish every moment of it.”
